How often does the map update?

Where do the numbers come from?
A data provider runs the Google Maps search from each spot. Ads don't count, only real places.
Do I need to connect my Google account?
Not for the map: it only needs your public listing. Views, calls and which reviews still need a reply appear once you connect your profile.
